EURUS Upgrades EurusDrive® PMSM to Ultra-Premium Efficiency IE6
The energy efficiency class of our proprietary EurusDrive® high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been upgraded from IE5 to the ultra-premium efficiency class IE6. It has entered full mass production and is now available to the global market.
Achieving the Highest Efficiency Standards
Prior to this upgrade, all models of the EurusDrive® PMSM had already achieved the IE5 efficiency class under the national standard "GB/T 32891.2-2019", which is equivalent to the international standard "IEC TS 60034-30-2:2016". The highest motor efficiency class specified in these standards is IE5, equivalent to Grade 1 in the national standard "GB18613-2020". The efficiency of both EurusDrive® PMSMs and AC asynchronous motors has been certified and tested by authoritative third-party organizations.
Comprehensive Electromagnetic Design Optimization
This upgrade elevates the efficiency of EurusDrive® PMSM models (1.1KW and above) from IE5 to the ultra-premium IE6 through comprehensive electromagnetic design optimization and the use of higher-grade, superior-performance ferromagnetic materials. EURUS fans equipped with ultra-premium efficiency PMSMs will be even more energy-saving, significantly reducing operational costs and creating greater value for our customers. Meanwhile, the IE6 ultra-premium PMSM, a core technology for EURUS's upcoming new products, has also been successfully completed on schedule.
The Next Stage of Technological Capability
The IE6 efficiency class is considered the next stage in demonstrating the technological capability and advantages of PMSMs. Although the current highest efficiency class in IEC international standards is still IE5, the next revision of the IEC TS 60034-30-2 standard will inevitably introduce IE6. Thus far, based on the standard setting principle that each higher IE class has 20% lower energy loss than the previous one, the efficiency limits for IE6 motors can be accurately calculated. Several international motor manufacturers, including ABB, have also recently launched their IE6 ultra-premium efficiency motors.
